WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE
Hey Gems, We are super excited to launch Jungle Bungalow, an Interior Design, Art and Collaboration Space brought to you by WEAR THE HOUSE.
Let us take you right to the beginning of this idea! We were in Sri Lanka on a vacation/work trip, working on a friends interiors, who has an Airbnb that was in desperate need of some LOVE and COLOR! The colors we used reflected the surrounding jungle and beach vibes of Sri Lanka, deep reds, pops of pinks and turquoises, but with a modern interior styling twist, bringing lots of much needed greenery inside with beautiful local plants. It was very Junglesque!
THE INSPIRATION
We were in between houses and looking for a new project ourselves. A place not just to live but to showcase WEAR THE HOUSE products, collaborate and expand our community. Whilst searching, we stumbled across an old Bungalow near a beautiful beach back in our home town. Inspired by our stay in Sri Lanka and the jungle vibes, we started to envision what we could do with this space for ourselves. So we arranged a viewing for what we hoped would be our very own Jungle Bungalow!
JUNGLE BUNGALOW
We all immediately fell IN LOVE with the space and the vibe of the property. We saw the full potential of what we could create. This is when Jungle Bungalow was really born! Now for the FUN part! How do we transform a white box into a colorful jungle paradise!
THE MOOD
It did not take long to envision the design, we started with the moodboard designing areas we needed within the space. Although we wanted a lot of color, white was just as important as we needed a blank canvas for all of the art we have collected over the years.
WEAR THE HOUSE TEAM
We got straight to work, bringing in our team of painters and carpenters to add the foundation of color and shelving to the space. Happy accidents happened along the way. We had deciding to keep the shelves of the workshop area white, but then we saw the Pinterest image below and knew what we had to create!
After a week of hard work, we had finished Jungle Bungalow and designed a space in which art, community and creativity can thrive!
